Thessaloniki: the second biggest town in population and one of the most beautiful cities of Greece lies on the north of the country. There is no chance you will visit Thessaloniki, the capital of Macedonia, and won’t feel falling in love with this marvellous place…

Walk by the sea from the port, passing through the legendary Aristotelous square with the classical buildings and from the numerous crowded cafeterias which call for your attention. In front of you the whole time the characteristic symbol of Thessaloniki: the White Tower. Built on the 15th century this Byzantine tower is a defensive structure which was later used as a prison and nowadays operates as a museum with various exhibits. But what worths most of all is the view from the top of the White Tower (+30 – 2310 – 267832).

Right opposite the White Tower, a perfect spot to sit in Exile is by the seafront where you can also see the statue of Great Alexander. Another option is to take the boat and enjoy a little cruise around Thermaikos Gulf.
